Changes in Company Structure

I started the practice from my back room in Islington in 1982.  34 years later, Conisbee has flourished into a firm of 90 staff with offices in Cambridge, Norwich and Islington and I find myself surrounded by an excellent Management Team, some of whom have been with me for over 30 years,  and three of whom were promoted to Director just last year.

With younger blood eager to plot our course into the future, and confident that the culture and success we have built up over the years will continue, it feels appropriate for me now to initiate the first phase of my succession plan by stepping aside from my roles as Managing and Finance Director of the practice; besides, I think I have earned the break!

I am delighted to announce that Tim Attwood, who joined me in 1986, has now taken on the role of Managing Director, and Bob Stagg, who has been with me for twenty years, that of Finance Director.  I will be continuing as an active Director and Chairman of the practice.

I have enjoyed building Conisbee into a confident practice that attracts talented and dedicated people and I look forward to seeing the success and reputation of the firm continue to grow under Tim’s leadership.

Alan Conisbee, Chairman.

Conisbee in at No. 23!

The NCE100 was revealed at the New Civil Engineer 100 Awards on Wednesday 11th May 2016 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, with Conisbee debuting at Number 23!

The international ranking of the best civil engineering practices recognised individual organisations achievement in areas critical to service delivery and making engineering workplaces a great place to be. Conisbee were also shortlisted for Contribution to the Profession Award and Best SME Award. Well done to all the finalists!

AECOM 100

On Sunday 8th May, six of Conisbee’s finest cyclists competed in the AECOM 100 cycle ride in Cambridge.  Led by Captain Ben Heath, Conisbee jerseys were visible at the front of the peloton all day, with excellent results across the board despite the warmer weather.

Ranked 1st and 2nd in the 50K time-trial and 6th and 7th in the 100k long distance event, the team succeeded in dominating the leader board, picking up a few PB’s for both time and distant riding along the way….

Thanks to AECOM for such a fantastic day!
